If the invitation to enrol or register online hasn’t been mentioned on your Letter of Admission or Letter of Invitation, you are required to enrol or register online by sending an e-mail to [email protected].

Exchange students who already received their account information do not need to send this e-mail.

If we require to see additional documents as hard copies, we will communicate this through e-mail.

Your student card

You will receive your student card during the first days after your arrival (Exchange students will receive it at the faculty welcome session).

Keep this card close – not only because you are required to show it when taking exams or when going to a university library, but also because it comes with a lot of advantages:

• It allows you to make use of Ghent University facilities and infrastructure, such as the student restaurants, sports centre, bike rent, etc.
• Card holders get a discount at the movies, when visiting museums or historic buildings,…

Students arriving in February 2026

For Study Exchange students: you can pick up your student card at the faculty during the welcome session.

Newly arriving degree students and internship/research exchange students should pick up their student card in the Student centre during opening hours.
