Welcome information Session

The UGent International Office will welcome newly arriving students on Thursday February 8th.

Students will be able to choose a time slot to attend the General information session and to have a coffee with us.

What to expect?

• Information session (about 30 minutes).
• International Support Team Café: have a coffee or another refreshment, have a chat with us (International Support Team) and get some more information, get your hands on our totebag with freebies.
• After the information session, you have the opportunity to meet our partners:
  • ICT Helpdesk
  • ESN (Erasmus student network)
  • Helan (health insurance provider)
  • Fietsambassade: rent your bike!
  • Housing office
  • Lyca Mobile (get your free SIM card!!)
  • City of Ghent, migration office
  • Ghent University University language center (learn Dutch! or another language)
  • Ghent University’s student councelling office
  • Europa Direct East-Flanders (get some nice gadgets)

IST Open Office days

If you can’t make it to the Welcome Days, you can pick up your totebag during these time slots in our office.

Faculty Welcome Sessions

On Friday February 9th, the faculties will welcome the spring semester students. Most faculties also hand out your student card during these sessions.
